Millions of Poles live abroad, and many want to keep up with Polish news, series, sport and children's programmes. The good news is that you have several ways to do it. This guide compares them so you can choose what fits your home, your budget and your internet connection.
Option 1: official broadcaster apps and websites
Most Polish broadcasters run their own websites and apps with live streams, catch-up and on-demand libraries. Some of it is free and some sits behind a subscription.
Good to know: availability outside Poland varies. Broadcasters often have to restrict some programmes to viewers in Poland because of licensing, so a channel or a match may be blocked where you live. Check each broadcaster's help page before you rely on it.
Option 2: satellite
A satellite dish can receive Polish channels almost anywhere in Europe if it is pointed correctly.
- Pros: does not use your internet, and a good picture.
- Cons: you need a dish, an installer or some skill, and permission from your landlord if you rent. Coverage and available packages depend on where you live.
Option 3: cable or local packages
Some cable and broadband providers abroad offer extra Polish-language packages. These are simple to order if your provider has them, but the choice of channels is usually small and prices vary a lot.

What to check before you choose
- Rights. Does the service explain how it handles copyright? Be careful with offers that look far cheaper than anything official.
- A free trial. Test on the device you will use.
- Your internet speed. Allow about 8 to 10 Mb/s for HD per device.
- Devices. Make sure your TV or stick is supported.
- Language and support. Help in Polish is useful if you are not comfortable in English.
- Clear pricing and terms. Look for the price by plan length and number of devices, and a clear refund policy.
Tips for families
- Count the screens that may be on at the same time. A plan for three devices costs less than three separate plans.
- Use a cable for the main TV if you can. It is more stable than Wi-Fi.
